Wireless Transmitter Flash
What options are there for Canon wireless flash.?
I have a 400D with a Jessops flashgun. I saw someone at a gig with the same set up except they had a wireless transmitter so they could hold the flash gun at arms length to get better shadows etc. But I cant seem to find one. If there is a cheaper alternative to a canon one that would be nice! 
I believe with the Canon STE2 you maintain full eTTL capabilities – which means your flash is “smart” and feeds information back and forth with the 400D.
Non-dedicated wireless has really grown in the last couple of years. Pocket Wizards have long been known as the most reliable (and expensive) equipment. Paul C Buff (AlienBees in the US) has an excellent line that is less expensive.

The non-dedicated wireless requires you to use your flash in manual mode – where you set the power level (1, 1/2, 1/4, etc). If you have the Jessops 360AFD it looks like it has manual.
The best place to find out a little more about off-camera flashes is the strobist site. Lots and lots of free information to read before you make your mind up.
