Does the Nikon D80 has a wireless softbox flash wireless control?
You can remote control big flash units like softboxes. Some SLR bodies have a wireless controller, and you can fire the softboxes remotely using the signal from your camera body. Does the D80 have such a thing?
First off a softbox is just that, the strobe or flash is bought separately. Nikon cameras do have a system called CLS which uses line of sight to trigger flashes via infra-red unless I am mistaken. You will have to buy a Nikon SB series flash. If you really want to get into off camera lighting though I suggest getting real flash triggers like Pocket wizards, cybersyncs, skyports or cheap ebay triggers although you get what you pay for. I have cybersyncs and they are the cheapest next to ebay triggers but imo are better than skyports. They continue to function without fail even down into the teen degree weather of Vermont at ranges of 100ft. So far I havent tested them any further or to their max range of 400ft.
