Convenient and easy to use, the Maclaren Techno XT umbrella stroller is about 15 pounds, making it among the lightest strollers available today. It too has a fully reclining seat for newborns that need to lie flat. This company is known for its high level of quality, although there have been complaints about thin padding and a tendency for the stroller to fall over when empty with this model. However, these drawbacks are offset by its somewhat moderate price, at least when compared with the Bugaboo Cameleon or the Bugaboo Bee.

Coming in at about 20 pounds, this stroller is right between the lightweight strollers and full-featured ones mentioned above. On the negative side, some parents say that it’s hard to maneuver on rough ground, making it less than perfect for jaunts in the park. Others say that it’s hard to maneuver with one hand and the wheels squeak. However, these complaints should be measured against the moderate price and its utility, when compared with other products in the widely available Graco line.
