Why shouldn’t I get a continuous studio light set??
And If I get a flash/strobe light set I don’t want to connect it to my camera… Can my camera’s flash set the lights off, or do I have to get an infared remote control? HELP!!! Please lol
Continuous studio lights can get very hot.
Most strobe lights have optical sensors, so you shouldn’t have wires running all over the place. You probably won’t need an infrared remote. At the minimum, one wired sync cable to the primary strobe is all you need (and is the most economical approach)…the other strobes will fire through their optical sensors. Most strobe lights also have modelling lights, so you will not be composing in the dark.
If you do have extra cash and need a wireless solution, you should favor the radio controllers over infrared controllers. A favorite among photographers is the PocketWizard. Alien Bees offers a good value in strobe sets.
