Sheer White Background
Does universities have studios for taking pictures of models on a white BG with white floors/walls? Lightings?
Approx how much do they cost – if per hour? If for a day? Don’t say it depends and don’t give a amount – cause it does not help at all….
For taking professional photos of models on a sheer white background. How much do those large lightings cost anyways too? Do I need them?
Can I find them at universities/colleges? I live near U of Calgary, and Alberta College of Art and Design.
Some do, but you have to be a registered student to use the facilities.
Many pro studios rent their space during times it is not in use by them.
Cost per hour can be as low as $50 for a minimum of four hours and up. I use two in my market area. One costs me $240 for four hours and the other is about $80 an hour depending upon how much lighting I require. Rental usually includes the use of one power supply and light setup. You may want to bring your own pocket wizard if there are other photographers using other parts of the studio.
Most photographers have occasion to use a studio from time to time, but not enough to justify paying the overhead by owning one. You should not have trouble finding one you can afford.
