Portrait Light Kit help?
What are the benefits of having a light kit with translucent umbrellas, black umbrellas and soft-boxes?
Yes of course they give different qualities, I’m looking for someone to describe those qualities.
I’m also looking to take glamour portraits, does anyone have a suggestion for best lighting for glamour?
For glamour I use strobes with fairly large softboxes. The idea is to get a highly diffused light source for an even field with no harsh shadows. I like softboxes over umbrellas because an umbrella spreads the light out over a fairly wide area, softboxes still give you the ability to “aim” the light and be fairly specific, depending on the size of the box of course.
