Photo Studio Strobe

What do I need for studio lighting?
I have a photography business and may be setting up an indoor photo studio soon. I need to know the best way to light the area. I prefer to keep in inexpensive and simple. So far my only lighting equipment is a Canon 430EX external flash. So I’m not sure if i need to get the flash off-camera, or set up strobes and soft boxes or what. Thank you for your answers.
More information: I am talking about photographing people. Also, my camera is a Canon Digital Rebel XTi.
Seriously man, you have a photography business?
Alienbee ar cheap and they are workhorses. I love especially their collapsible sofboxes. If you wanna keep it low profile (does not mean cheap) take a look at strobist.com. I say that it does not mean cheap cause PW or Radiopoppers cost a boatload of money. But you can use em with speedlites.
