what lens are suitable for shooting photo diamond jewelry?
my camera is 30D
I am considering 180mm f3.5 macro
105 or 100mm f2.8 macro
150mm macro
120-300mm f/2 tele zoom
MPE 65 / F2.8
also the lightings, which lights are suitable?
twinlights, ring flash, snoot, fresnel or soft box?
Of the above I’d go for the 105 f2.8. Good working range and good for general use as well.
If you’re shooting for online auction, you might consider a consumer-grade zoom with a macro setting, as screen resolution and file size reduction will dumb down the image anyway.
As for lighting, go for a light tent. Google it and you’ll see a bajillion of them.
