Light Photography Tent

How do I wire a standard lamp to a photography light?
Needed for a light tent.
I would get a blue photoflood from the camera store and get about using it. Or,
I would get a film rated to 3200K, incandescent light, and get along doing it. Or,
I would go to the camera store and buy a filter which will compensate the whole thing and get about doing it.
