Hot Shoe Trigger
Pocket wizard will not trigger flash from hot shoe in nikon d80?
I have 3 Pocket Wizard Plus II Transceivers. One is in my camera’s (Nikon D80) hot shoe, and the other two are in each of my two lights. When I press test on the transceiver in my camera, both lights trigger, but whenever I go to take a picture, my internal flash on the camera still pops up, and whenever I actually press down to take the picture, my lights do not flash. HELP! How do I get my camera to recognize the transceiver that’s on the hot shoe so that 1) the internal flash will stop popping up and 2) my lights will flash?!
That is interesting. I have been using Pocket Wizards for years on both my old D100 and both D200′s with no problems. I shoot using the 1/250th second flash sync.
Try using a different channel and make sure your built-in flash is on TTL (I once left it on Commander Mode on one of my D200′s and my PW didn’t work until I put it back to TTL)
