How long do I charge my digital camera battery?
How long does it usually take to fully charge a digital camera battery? Thanks!
so when it goes into the charger, it can be placed in two different ways. one way the light at bottom of charger is green and if put in the other way, the light is red. Any idea which way is correct? I do not have the directions..thanks!!!

Just checked another charger and the red light indicates that the batteries are charging and green light shows when the batteries are finished and charged.
Camera reports batteries low, but is it low charge or bad electrical contacts? Overcharging can ruin good batteries!
Do not know what type charger you have, but you would be well served to buy an Energizer Compact Smart Charger with safety timer, temperature monitor and trickle charge technology for $9.76 at Walmart.
NiMH batteries will discharge in two weeks when not used. Old batteries can discharge over night, but may provide near normal service if used immediately after being charged. Battery pairs that can no longer be used in cameras may work well in flashlights.
The secret to making digital cameras work better is having good electrical contacts between batteries and camera.
CAUTION Do not overcharge … batteries can be severely damaged. The time required to charge batteries depends on the state of charge and the charge rate. The smart thing to do is get a smart charger because you can easily ruin your batteries.
